Vanderbilt Notes:
– Vanderbilt drops to 22-7 for the season overall.
– The Commodores’ 20 points were their lowest point production in the second-half this season against an SEC opponent. Their previous second-half low came against Auburn last night when they produced 26 points.
– Scoring only 48 points, Vanderbilt set a season low for total point production.
– The loss to Tennessee marks the first loss ever for Vanderbilt in post-season play at what is now the Sommet center in Nashville. VU was 8-0 before tonight’s game dating back to 2002, all of those games coming in SEC Tournament games, including 2 SEC Tournament Championships.
– Junior Jennifer Risper led the ‘Dores in scoring tonight with 14 points, the only Vanderbilt player to score in double digits.
Tennessee Notes:
– With the win, Tennessee advances to the SEC Tournament Championship for the third time in the last four years, and for the 18th time overall. The Lady Vols are now 18-7 overall in the SEC Tournament Semifinals.
– UT is 12-5 in SEC Tournament Championship games, including 2-2 against tomorrow’s opponent, LSU.
– The Lady Volunteers are now 13-2 against ranked opponents this season.
– The higher seed has won every game in the 2008 SEC Tournament.
– The Lady Volunteers outrebounded their opponent (33-29) for the 23rd time this season.
– UT took their first lead at the 9:09 mark of the first half, and never trailed again. Tennessee led the entire second half for the 26th time on the year.
– This was the 24th time this season UT defeated an opponent by double figures.
– With her 25 points this evening, Candace Parker has scored in double digits in all 31 games this season.
– Parker scored 20+ points for the 17th time this season.
– With four blocked shots today, Parker extended her UT single-season blocks record to 107 and the career record to 258.
– Parker led UT in scoring for the 25th time this season.
– Alexis Hornbuckle also padded her UT career steals record, adding three today to bring her career total to 350.
– Senior forward Nicky Anosike grabbed 10 rebounds on the night, her eighth game this year with double figures on the glass.
– SEC Freshman of the Year Angie Bjorklund was held scoreless for just the third time this season, but the second time this year against Vanderbilt. Bjorklund has just three points in the SEC Tournament so far after averaging 9.6 ppg over the regular season.

– Tonight’s attendance: 12,897, a new record for all sessions at the SEC Tournament.
