Vanderbilt Notes:
– With the win tonight, Vanderbilt is now a perfect 8-0 in what is now known as the Sommet Center in downtown Nashville, all of those wins coming in SEC Tournament games.
– Tonight set a new season low for points scored for the Commodores with 49, breaking their previous low of 51, set twice in losses to Colorado and LSU.
– Vanderbilt is now 20-0 when leading at the half this season.
– VU has won at least one game in the SEC Tournament every year since a First Round loss in 1999.
– Vanderbilt is now 20-16 against Auburn all-time.
– Senior Liz Sherwood fouled out for the second time this season.
– The 17 made field goals for the Commodores set a season low. The previous mark was 19, coming against Duke on 11/28/07.
Auburn Notes:
– The Tigers finish SEC play this season with a 20-11 record overall and 8-8 against SEC teams.
– Auburn’s struggle with Vanderbilt continues now to losing 13 consecutive meetings against the ‘Dores.
– The all-time series still swings in Auburn’s favor with a 19-17 record all-time.
– The Tigers recorded their lower first-half point total of year with only 15 points.
– They also set a new season low for total points with 44 points.
– With the loss the Tigers final record against ranked teams falls to 3-7 for the season.
– The Tigers used the starting lineup of Jordan Greenleaf, DeWanna Bonner, Tamela McCorvey, Alli Smalley and Sherell Hobbs.
– DeWanna Bonner recorded another double double tonight after scoring 23 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.
