Team Records and Series Notes:
– Vanderbilt improves to 21-4 and 6-4 in Southeastern Conference play, while Kentucky drops to 12-10 and 6-3 in SEC play.
– Kentucky still leads the all-time series 129-41 and 48-24 in games played in Nashville. However, Vanderbilt has won three consecutive games in Memorial Gym and five of the last six games played in the series.
– With the win, Vanderbilt’s now has 1399 wins in program history.
– The Commodores are 15-0 at home this season and dating back to last season, Vanderbilt has won 28 of it last 29 games in Memorial Gym.

Vanderbilt Team Notes:
– Key Run: Vanderbilt jumped on Kentucky right from the start. Tied at three, the Commodores went on a 36-5 run to take a commanding 39-8 lead. The `Dores held Kentucky without a field goal for 12:21 during the run and without a point for 7:45.
– Key Stat: Vanderbilt had one of its best defensive performances on the season. The Commodores held Kentucky to 17-of-52 (32.7 percent) shooting from the floor and 1-of-10 (10.0 percent) from beyond the arc. Vanderbilt shot 31-of-56 (55.4 percent) from the field and 7-of-16 (43.8 percent) from the three-point line.
– The 11 points scored by Kentucky in the first half is the fewest points allowed in a half by Vanderbilt during Kevin Stallings’ tenure at Vanderbilt.
– The 41 point margin of victory is the largest for Vanderbilt over Kentucky in series history, surpassing the previous high of 30 set on February 8, 1989, when Vanderbilt won 81-51.
– The 41-point margin is also Vanderbilt’s largest SEC victory since February 27, 1993, when Vanderbilt defeated Mississippi State by 41, 80-39.

Vanderbilt Individual Notes:
– Senior swingman Shan Foster led the Commodores in scoring with 20 points. Foster made his first eight shots in the game and finished 8-of-10 from the floor. He now has 1,793 points in his Vanderbilt career and is 98 points shy of tying Matt Freije as the school’s all-time leading scorer. Foster also made two threes to bring his school-record total to 328.
– Freshman center Andrew Ogilvy recorded the third double-double of his career, tallying 19 points and bringing down 12 rebounds in only 24 minutes of action. Ogilvy made 9-of-11 from the free-throw line.
– Senior forward Ross Neltner scored 15 points, 13 of those coming in the first half. Neltner also secured eight rebounds.
– Sophomore guard Jermaine Beal was the fourth Commodore in double figures, scoring 10 points. He also dished out five assists to bring his season total to 121, which is the fourth most in a single season by a sophomore.
– Freshman forward Joe Duffy found the scoring column for the first time since the Rice game. Duffy scored two points in the game.
– Freshman guard Jamie Graham scored a career-high five points and had one assist.
