NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt women’s tennis team moved up one spot to 10th position in the latest national poll released Tuesday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
The Commodores are currently 5-0 on the season and have won four consecutive matches against ranked opponents. The `Dores were last in action on January 26 when they defeated then-No. 9 Notre Dame 4-3. Other ranked schools that Vanderbilt has defeated include New Mexico, Colorado and Michigan.
Stanford is in the top spot of this week’s poll after previous No. 1 Georgia Tech was defeated last week by Northwestern. SEC foes Florida and Georgia are ranked fifth and sixth, respectively.
Date Change for East Tennessee State Match:
Vanderbilt’s match vs. East Tennessee State, originally scheduled for Saturday, February 16, has been moved to Friday, February 15. Match time at the Currey Tennis Center remains at 2:30 p.m. (CST).
