Team Records and Series Notes:
– Vanderbilt improves to 17-2 on the season and 2-2 in Southeastern Conference play, while LSU drops to 7-11 and 0-4 in conference play.
– The Commodores now lead the all-time series 55-48 and 32-13 in games played in Nashville. Vanderbilt has won seven of the last 10 meetings played in Memorial Gym.
– The `Dores are 13-0 on their home floor this year. Dating back to last season, Vanderbilt has won 26 of its last 27 games played in Memorial Gym.
– The Commodores return to action on Sunday, January 27, when they travel to the Stephen C. O’Connell Center to face the Florida Gators. Tip time is set for Noon (CST) and the game will be carried live by Raycom Sports (television) and the Vanderbilt/ISP Sports Network with Joe Fisher (play-by-play) and Tim Thompson (analyst).

Vanderbilt Team Notes:
– Key Run: Trailing 24-23 with 9:44 remaining in the first half, Vanderbilt closed out the half on a 20-9 run. The Tigers only made three field goals in the final 9:44 of the half.
– Key Stat: After committing 22 turnovers in each of the last two games, the Commodores committed a season-low eight turnovers in today’s contest. Vanderbilt forced 17 LSU miscues and converted those turnovers into 24 points. The `Dores won the points off turnover category 24-8.
– The 16-point victory is Vanderbilt’s largest win in conference play since the Commodores defeated Alabama 94-73 last season.
– After struggling from the three-point line against Tennessee, Vanderbilt made 9-of-20 (45.0 percent) from beyond the arc in today’s game.
– The Commodores had 21 assists and assisted on 65.6 percent of their made baskets in the game.

Vanderbilt Individual Notes:
– Senior Shan Foster tied for the team high in scoring with 18 points. With today’s performance, Foster moved into fourth place on the Vanderbilt all-time scoring list with 1,702 points. Foster passed Drew Maddux (1995-98), Clyde Lee (1964-66) and Mike Rhodes (1978-81) in the game. Foster also made four three-pointers to bring his career total to 307, the most in Vanderbilt history.
– Senior guard Alex Gordon also chipped in 18 points, one under his season high. Gordon made four threes on seven attempts and had three steals.
– Senior forward Ross Neltner tied a season-high with 16 points. Neltner also grabbed five rebounds. He added a block and two steals.
– Sophomore guard Jermaine Beal scored 10 points and tied a career-high with nine assists. Beal now has 93 assists on the season, which gives him the ninth most assists by a sophomore in a season.
– Freshman center Andrew Ogilvy was the fifth Commodore to score in double-figures with 10 points. Ogilvy has scored in double-figures every game this season.
– Keegan Bell added three assists to bring his season total to 59, which puts him in a tie for 10th on the single-season assist total for freshmen.
