Jan. 9, 2008

HACKENSACK, N.J. — Vanderbilt’s bowlers have been rated second in the latest poll conducted by the National Tenpins Coaches Association.

The Commodores (33-9) had been ranked No. 1 throughout the fall but lost to Nebraska (29-7) by 63 pins in last November’s Capital City Classic to slip behind the Huskers. Nebraska notched 12 first place votes and Vanderbilt the other seven from the 19 participating coaches.
