BLOOMINGTON, Ind.–Vanderbilt senior Amanda Taylor of Richland, Wash., saw her run at the 2007 ITA National Summer Championships Presented by the USTA come to an end on Tuesday as she fell to Notre Dame’s Brooke Buck in straight sets 7-5, 7-5.
Taylor, the No. 2 seed in the women’s singles draw, and Buck went toe-to-toe throughout the match as neither player could get a decided advantage. The Notre Dame senior was able to win the first set by the score of 7-5 and held on to win the second set by the same score.
