Vanderbilt sophomore Jacqui Concolino has been selected as one of four women’s golf players named to a 12-member American team competing in the Fuji Xerox USA vs. Japan Collegiate Golf Championship July 11-13 at the Tijeras Creek Golf Club in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.

The group of women’s players, that also includes Duke’s Jennie Lee, Arizona State’s Jennifer Osborn and Alison Walshe of Arizona, is coupled with an eight-member collegiate men’s team that will compete in the three-day event.

Concolino currently ranks seventh in the nation and leads a talented Vanderbilt squad into the NCAA Central regional beginning Thursday, May 10 in Ann Arbor, Mich. A two-time First Team All-Southeastern Conference selection, the Orlando, Fla., native has registered eight Top 10 finishes this season and owns a 33-12 mark against the Top 50 collegiate players in the nation according to Golfstat. She tied for fifth place at the SEC Championship in April with a 1-over par 217.

The event will mark Concolino’s second international competition as a collegiate player. Last summer, she was one of four women’s golf players, along with eight men’s players, to take part in the USA-China Friendship Cup. The 12-member group of freshmen competed for three days in late July at the Oak Valley Golf Club in Beaumont, Calif.

Both groups were named by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
