NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Ryan Preston earned his second consecutive spot in the All-SEC team, as decided by conference coaches Wednesday morning.

Preston leads the Commodores at the top of the lineup in singles and doubles. The sophomore is 3-8 in SEC play, his largest upset coming over then-15th-ranked Erling Tveit of then-ninth-ranked Ole Miss. Preston has had narrow third-set losses to some of the nation’s top competition, including top-ranked John Isner of No. 1 Georgia (6-3, 6-7, 6-2).

Preston and freshman Vijay Paul have played at No.1 doubles for the last five SEC contests. The duo’s most recent win came over South Carolina opponents on April 8.

In 2006, Preston was the only Commodore representative in the NCAA Singles Championship, advancing to the third round.
