NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt men’s tennis team will fight for a spot in the NCAA tournament as they battle Kentucky in the team’s season finale on Saturday at the Currey Tennis Center at 2 p.m. CT.

A win over the Wildcats won’t guarantee a dance invitation, but it will “make it very hard for the NCAA to leave us out,” Vanderbilt Head Coach Ian Duvenhage said.

Vanderbilt and Kentucky are currently tied at fourth place in the SEC East, each posting a 3-7 conference record. During its last conference contests, Kentucky was shutout 7-0 by Florida, but earned a 4-2 over South Carolina. Over the same weekend Vanderbilt was edged 4-3 by the Gators and defeated the Gamecocks 5-2.

The crucial match will also be the last home contest for Vanderbilt’s three seniors. Andy Mack, Jordan Magarik and Nathan Sachs will be honored in a short Senior Day presentation ten minutes prior to the 2 p.m. start time on Saturday.
