Sunday’s LAX Game Moved to 1 p.m. CT

March 17, 2007

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The 16th-ranked Vanderbilt women’s lacrosse team has moved its Sunday matchup with Hofstra back one hour — to 1 p.m. CT — Head Coach Cathy Swezey announced Saturday.

With a winter storm battering the northeast, Hofstra was delayed on its trip from Long Island, N.Y., to Nashville, necessitating the move.

The Commodores are 3-3 on the season, which each of their losses coming against teams ranked fourth or higher in the nation — including a pair of teams that were ranked No. 1 at the time they face Vanderbilt (preseason No. 1 Northwestern and current No. 1 North Carolina).

Junior Margie Curran leads the Commodore offense into Sunday’s matchup with Hofstra, a team that has given Vanderbilt fits in recent years.

Admission to Sunday’s game at the new starting time of 1 p.m., and all games at the VU Lacrosse Complex, is free.
