Svicarovich Tied for Third at Wildcat Invitational

Vanderbilt senior Kristen Svicarovich is tied for third place entering Tuesday’s final round at the Wildcat Invitational.

TUCSON, Ariz. — Vanderbilt senior Kristen Svicarovich fired a second round 1-under par 70 and is tied for third at the Wildcat Invitational. Thirty-six holes were played on Monday with the final 18 holes scheduled on Tuesday at the Arizona National Golf Club.

Svicarovich posted a 2-over par 73 in first-round action earlier in the day and will begin play Tuesday four shots behind tournament leader Amanda Blumenherst (70+69=139) of Duke. Arizona State’s Jennifer Osborn (74+67=141) is second at 1-under par while California’s Allison Goodman (73+70=143) and Arizona State’s Azahara Munoz (74+69=143) are tied with Svicarovich for third.

Vanderbilt’s Brooke Goodwin leads all other Commodore players. The freshman is tied for 18th place at 7-over par. (74+75=149). Sophomore Jacqui Concolino (78+76=154) and senior Chris Brady (78+76=149) are tied for 42nd after finishing the second round at 12-over par.

Commodore junior Liebelei Lawrence was forced to withdraw from the event.

Sophomore Amber Lundskog (80+84=164) posted a 22-over par, playing the tournament as an individual.

Vanderbilt (303+297=600) is in sixth place in the team standings after two rounds at 32-over par. Arizona State (300+277=577) is first heading into Tuesday.
