FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The No. 15/14 Commodore women’s basketball team travels to Fayetteville, Ark., to face the Lady Razorbacks on Sunday, Jan. 28. The non-televised Southeastern Conference matchup is scheduled to tip-off at 2 p.m. CT.

Earlier this month in Nashville, Vanderbilt handed Arkansas its worst loss in the 19-game history of the series, 98-61. Five Commodores scored in double-figures, including a career-high 24 points from sophomore Christina Wirth on 11-of-12 shooting.

Senior Carla Thomas posted her 11th career double-double, marking the third time she had achieved a double-double against the Lady’Backs. As a team, Vanderbilt shot over 60 percent from the field and behind the three-point line.

Both teams enter Sunday’s contest with a 3-3 record at the halfway point of conference play. The Commodores have dropped their last two league contests against Top 20 opponents. Arkansas had a three-game winning streak snapped Thursday at No. 8 LSU.

Vanderbilt is playing its fifth game on the road in its last seven, with a trip to Kentucky still to come next week.

Senior guard Dee Davis looks to become Vanderbilt’s outright leader for career assists Sunday. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native dished out her 673rd assist Thursday to tie former Commodore great Ashley McElhiney with 673 career assists.

Despite beating Arkansas earlier this season, Vanderbilt still enters Sunday’s game with a chip on its shoulder. In the SEC opener last year at Walton Arena, the Lady ‘Backs upset the Commodores in overtime following a half-court shot that tied the game in regulation.
