Vanderbilt takes on East Tennessee State Tuesday at Memorial Gymnasium. The contest tips off at 8 p.m. CT and will be televised by CSS.

The Commodores look to post back-to-back wins for the first time this season. Vanderbilt edged Toledo 98-93 in a thrilling overtime battle Saturday at Memorial Gymnasium. Freshman guard Jermaine Beal converted a conventional three-point play on a driving layup and free throw with 4.4 seconds remaining to help give Vanderbilt the win.

Derrick Byars netted a career-high 28 points, Shan Foster poured in 21 points and Ross Neltner tallied a career-high 20 points to lead the Commodore cause. It marked the first time since 1996 that a trio of Commodores netted 20 or more points in a contest.

ETSU posted a 75-61 road win at Stetson on Saturday. Four Bucs scored in double figures led by Eryk Thomas’ career-high 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting. Courtney Pigram added 18 points while Brad Nuckles posted a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Vanderbilt leads the all-time series 7-0. The Commodores won the last meeting, 86-75, on Dec. 4, 2002.
