NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Vanderbilt women’s basketball team plays host to its final exhibition game when the Premier Players visit Memorial Gymnasium tonight for a 7 p.m. CT tip-off.

Tickets are available at the door for five dollars ($5). Monday’s game also is included in VU’s season ticket packages, which start as low as $25 for the Commodores’ 16-game home schedule.

Vanderbilt opened its preseason schedule on Thursday with a 94-64 victory over DT3. All 12 student-athletes on the roster contributed to the win, with five true freshmen scoring in the game.

Sophomore Christina Wirth scored a team-high 16 points, while Nashville product Jessica Mooney led all freshmen with 10 points.

Everyone played between 12 and 24 minutes for the Commodores, but Head Coach Melanie Balcomb expects to use a more orthodox rotation for the team’s final preseason contest.

The Premier Players are 3-1 in their last four games, including wins at St. John’s, Syracuse and Florida. Pittsburgh, North Carolina and N.C. State have all earned victories over the exhibition squad.

Vanderbilt opens its regular season schedule next Sunday (Nov. 12) at Big 12 foe Colorado. Tip-off in Boulder is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT.
