Buy Tickets: Florida 11/4, Tennessee 11/18
Nashville, Tenn. – Less than 3,000 tickets remain for the Vanderbilt football regular season finale versus Tennessee on Saturday, Nov. 18, Commodore athletic officials announced Thursday.
Vanderbilt marketing director Eric Nichols also said sales for the Commodores’ game this Saturday versus Florida also have been consistent, though nearly 5,000 tickets remain for the game on campus. With a win, the Commodores will reach five wins in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1974-75.
“We want as many fans wearing Black and Gold as possible for these last two home games featuring nationally ranked Southeastern Conference opponents,” Nichols said. “We’re growing the Commodore fan base and this is a great opportunity for college football fans in Middle Tennessee to check out an exciting Vanderbilt squad playing two of the top teams in the nation.”
The Gators, who edged Vanderbilt in double overtime last year, are ranked fourth in the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) while Tennessee is currently 7-1 and ranked 11th in the BCS.
Bobby Johnson’s Commodore squad has played before an average home crowd of 32,815 this season. The largest crowd of the season, 37,280, attended the Commodores’ last home game, a homecoming loss to South Carolina on Oct. 21.
“This Saturday, we want to see a crowd bigger than the one that came out for the South Carolina game, then we want to see an even bigger crowd on Nov. 18 for the Tennessee game. Coach Johnson’s team is competing every week with a chance to win, playing with a lot of pride and determination. They deserve the support of as many fans in Black and Gold as we can get in Vanderbilt Stadium,” Nichols added.
Tickets for both Florida ($40) and Tennessee ($50) are available online at www.vucommodores.com, by phone at (615) 322-GOLD at the Vanderbilt Athletic Ticket Office on-campus in the McGugin Center. Hours for the ticket office are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Ticket windows at Vanderbilt Stadium will open this Saturday at 9 a.m., CT. Vandyville, the Commodores’ popular pre-game tailgate attraction, opens on game day at 8:30 a.m., on Natchez Trace.
