Vanderbilt Soccer Hits The Road To Take On SEC East Opponents Georgia and Tennessee
Vanderbilt opens a stretch of four out of its final five regular season contests on the road this weekend against SEC East foes Georgia and Tennessee. The Commodores will take on the Bulldogs Friday night at 7 p.m. ET, before taking on Tennessee on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET. The Lady Vols will face LSU Friday night before hosting VU.

vs. Georgia: Vanderbilt holds an 8-5 all-time advantage. The team split a pair of games last year.
vs. Tennessee: Vanderbilt leads 8-5-2 all-time. The Commodores won the regular season
matchup, 2-1 last season, and the teams tied 0-0 in the SEC Tournament semifinals. The Lady Vols advanced to the finals after winning the penalty kick shootout, 4-3.

Vanderbilt head coach Ronnie Coveleskie picked up her 50th win as the Commodore skipper in Sunday’s 3-0 win over South Carolina … The shutout was the team’s seventh in 14 games this year … Senior forward Lea Lafield scored two goals in the contest to give her six on the year. It is a new career high for her, besting the five she scored last year … Junior forward Amy Baumann scored her second goal of the year against USC, tying her season best set both in 2004 and 2005 … The Commodores are 7-1-3 in their last 11 games dating back to Sept. 3. The lone loss was a 1-0 decision to No. 20 Florida last Friday … VU plays four of its last five games in the regular season on the road … Goalkeeper Tyler Griffin is ranked No. 10 in the nation in save percentage at 0.891.
