“We had to work hard to lose that one, and we did. We just made too many mistakes. We had too many opportunities that we wasted and squandered. We gave them too many short fields and opportunities to score. Other than that, we played extremely good defense, gained a lot of yards, and ended up scoring 10 points.”

“We dominated the game. When I looked at the stats sheet, I couldn’t believe it. Looking at the stats, I would never think we would lose that game. The odds are in your favor when you look at the sheet.”
On the loss
“We just made too many critical errors at key times. They did a good job of taking advantage with what we gave them. We couldn’t get the ball in the end zone. They played great defense when it counted. They made some big plays and created turnovers.”

“It really didn’t get too bad. (Ole Miss) scored 14 points so quickly, so we knew we had a lot of time to make that up. We just decided for the rest of the game not to give up any more points and let our offense get rolling.”

“Each loss hurts the same. It’s hard to say one loss hurts more than the other, because it’s a loss. We just have to come back and figure out what we made mistakes on and fix them for the next game.”

“It’s football. You’re going to have wins and you’re going to have losses. One of the hardest things you have to do, especially when you’re young, is shake the last loss off. We just have to get ready for Georgia. This was a tough loss for us.

“We feel that we could have won this game and that we should have won this game. Coming into it, we felt that we were going to win it. We gave our best, we just came up short. Stat-wise, you can have 1200 yards, but if you don’t put it in the end zone, you could hold their offense to negative yards, but all that matters is the points. The defense
