Two Commodores To Miss Michigan Trip 9/1/2006 Two Vanderbilt reserve defensive players will miss the season opener Saturday at Michigan due to violating team rules, Commodore Head Coach Bobby Johnson said today. The players, Brandon Bryant of Cincinnati, Ohio and Quavian Lewis of Troy, Ala., will serve one-game suspensions and did not travel to Ann Arbor with the team Friday. Johnson declined to elaborate. Bryant, a redshirt freshman, was listed as a second team outside linebacker. Lewis, also a redshirt freshman and outside linebacker, was listed on the third team defensive unit. Vanderbilt and Michigan open the season before an ESPN national television audience. Kickoff in Michigan Stadium is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Central Time. |
