Men’s Golf: Day Two at SEC Championships 4/22/2006
ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. — Junior Luke List stands in a seven-way tie for fifth place at even par after the second of three rounds at the 2006 Southeastern Conference Men’s Golf Championship at Sea Island Golf Club. After shooting 14-over on Saturday, Vanderbilt sits in ninth place at 26-over for the tournament. Georgia holds a one-stroke lead over Florida, with Alabama, Kentucky and Auburn rounding out the top five. Individually, Alabama’s Matthew Swan holds a three-stroke lead over Kevin Kisner of Georgia and Brett Stegmaier of Florida. The back nine was again troubling for the Commodores, who made the turn at four-over. As a team, Vanderbilt counted three double bogeys and one triple bogey on holes 11 through 14. Scoring for the Commodores along with List were sophomores Brett Lange and John Ebert, both at four-over, and freshman Jon Curran at six-over. The final round of the three-day event begins at 8 a.m. ET Sunday. The Commodores will join Tennessee and Arkansas in the first group teeing off on the 10th hole. |
