Women’s Tennis Heads to Georgia Tech 3/6/2006 ATLANTA, Ga. — The No. 15 Commodores will be looking to improve their eight- match winning streak when they face No. 3 Georgia Tech on Tuesday, in Atlanta. The Yellow Jackets (7-2) dropped their most recent match to No. 6 Northwestern (4-3) last Saturday. After dropping the doubles point, GT was unable to pull off four wins in singles to take the victory. The Jackets are led by 6th ranked Kristi Miller (7-2) at No. 1 singles. The Commodores (10-1, 2-0) recently notched two wins in the SEC against Alabama and Auburn last weekend. VU’s No. 2 singles player Taka Bertrand improved her undefeated record to 10-0 following her 6-0, 6-2 win against Auburn’s Chappell. Sophomore Amanda Taylor has also notched ten wins this season, with her only loss falling during the ITA tournament. The match will begin at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
