TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Junior Luke List and freshman Jon Curran stand in a tie for 11th place at one-under following Monday’s second round of action in the Seminole Intercollegiate at the Golden Eagle Country Club. With one round left to play Tuesday, the Commodores rank 12th in the 13-team field.

The Commodore duo stand 10 strokes behind overall leader Dustin Johnson of Coastal Carolina. Johnson followed up Sunday’s 66 with a 67 on Monday, but lead shrank to only two strokes over North Carolina’s Martin Ureta.

In the team standings, EastTennesseeState expanded its lead to five strokes with a 10-under performance on Monday. Coastal Carolina stands in second place, nine strokes ahead of third place North CarolinaState.

Despite being in 12th place, Vanderbilt stands within striking distance of a number of teams. Only four squads are under par for the tournament, with the Commodores only 10 strokes behind sixth place Central Florida.

Curran shot the round of the day for the Commodores, carding a four-under 68 to break par for the tournament. List’s one-over round Monday put him in a tie with his VU teammate. Junior Dos Goldsmith shaved two strokes off of Sunday’s round to score a two-over 74 on Monday. Sophomore Brett Lange and senior Will Armstrong each scored 78 during the tournament’s second round.

The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday. Action is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. EST.
