Commodores Host Creighton Tuesday 3/6/2006 Nashville, Tenn. – Vanderbilt baseball will play the ninth game of its 14-game homestand tomorrow afternoon against Creighton at 4 p.m. at Hawkins Field. The Commodores are 6-5 on the year after taking two of three from Ball State over the weekend. Sophomore righthander Ty Davis (3-1, 2.51 ERA) will take the mound after picking up two of the team?s three wins last week. The Blue Jays are 6-3 overall and played only one game last weekend due to rain (an 8-2 win over Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday). CU return six starters from last year?s NCAA tournament team that finished 48-17 overall and first in the Missouri Valley Conference. Sophomore lefthander Ben Mancuso (2-0, 0.00 ERA) is slated to take the hill for Creighton. Tuesday?s game is the first ever meeting between the schools on the diamond. |
