Concolino Honored by Golfweek 3/1/2006
The honors continue to come for Vanderbilt freshman Jacqui Concolino. Just days after being named the Southeastern Conference’s Golfer of the Week, Concolino was named Golfweek’s “Women’s Player of the Week” for her victory last week at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational. Concolino shot nine-under par 204 over the Arizona National Golf Club, including a school record five-under par 66 in the final round to go with rounds of 70 and 68. She became just the second Vanderbilt freshman to win a tournament, Chris Brady being the first, and she was the second Commodore in three years to win in Tucson.
