Baseball Hosts Tennessee Tech in Home Opener 2/22/2006 NASHVILLE ÂÂ- Vanderbilt will host Tennessee Tech in its baseball home opener today at 4 p.m. at Hawkins Field. The game will kickoff a 16-game homestand for the Commodores who went 1-2 against a tough field at the USC/Public Storage Classic last weekend in Los Angeles. Tennessee Tech is 0-3 on the season after getting swept by LSU last weekend in Baton Rouge. VU will start freshman righthander Nick Christiani (0-0, 0.00) on the mound and will also use several other pitchers in a predetermined rotation.
