NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Sherill Baker scored a game-high 22 points and No. 13 Georgia defeated No. 22 Vanderbilt 83-61 on Sunday.

Georgia (18-7, 8-4 Southeastern Conference) pulled away early, as Cori Chambers came off the bench and hit a pair of 3-pointers in a 10-0 run that gave the Lady Bulldogs an early 22-11 lead.

They scored the final two baskets of the first half to lead 43-28, then opened the second period with seven straight points.

Baker’s basket 6 minutes into the second half gave the Lady Bulldogs a 60-33 lead, and Vanderbilt (17-9, 6-6) trailed by 20 or more until Jen Risper’s 3-pointer with 7:18 remaining made it 67-48.

Caroline Williams made a 3-pointer to pull Vanderbilt to 67-51 with 6:47 left, but Georgia scored eight unanswered points to thwart any potential rally.

Chambers finished with 18 points for Georgia. Tasha Humphrey added 15 and Megan Darrah had 14. Liz Sherwood scored 16 to lead Vanderbilt, with Carla Thomas adding 13 and Dee Davis 11.
