Vanderbilt Head Coach Kevin Stallings 2/4/2006 Vanderbilt Head Coach Kevin Stallings On the team’s feelings: “We’re a pretty disheartened group. Georgia played well. We needed one stop and we couldn’t get it. We didn’t box out the shooter and gave them a layup. We just couldn’t get a stop. Now, we’re not feeling very good. We were searching for stops the whole game. They shot it great. They made a bunch of shots and that was the difference. Tonight was not an effort problem. This game puts you way behind the 8-ball. They (losses) are all hard. Again, our effort was good, we just couldn’t get stops.” On the Vanderbilt possession with four seconds left: “They went zone on us and we had prepared for their zone. The spot Shan (Foster) was in was the open spot. He got a good look at the basket. If it had gone in that would have been the game.” On where to go from here: “We are in a tough spot. We’ll have a character check and hopefully bounce back.” |
