‘Dores Defeat BYU in Nationals Consolation

The No. 7 Commodores defeated No. 22 BYU 5-2 in the first consolation round at the ITA Nationals.
BYU took the doubles point, with wins in the No.1 and No. 2 spots against Fish/Bertrand and Ulery/Sveke. The Commodores No.1 seed (Yahner/Taylor) defeated the BYU duo 8-4.
The Commodores took their five match points in singles play, with only the VU No. 1 seed, Amanda Fish, dropping a match to BYU.
The Commodores will play one more consolation match Saturday, February 4 in Madison.
