Krause and Schoeni Receive Academic All-District

Nashville, Tenn.- Senior forward John Krause and senior goalkeeper Kenny Schoeni were named first team Academic All-District in voting done for ESPN The Magazine?s Academic All-American awards.

Both Krause and Schoeni, representing District Four, are up for national honors which will be released on Nov. 21.

Krause, a first-team All-Missouri Valley selection, led the Commodores with
12 goals and 26 points this season. He has a 3.388 grade point average in history and is a candidate for MVC Scholar Athlete plaudits.

Schoeni, a honorable mention All-MVC pick, set a single-season school record with seven solo shutouts (eight total) and finished the year with a 1.08 goals against average. He  has a 3.731 grade point average in neuroscience and is a candidate for MVC Scholar Athlete honors as well.

To be eligible, the student-athletes must have a minumum GPA of 3.20 and have completed one full academic year at the nominating institution.
