“Vanderbilt Basketball Experience” Auction to Benefit Victims of Hurricane Katrina 9/29/2005 The Vanderbilt men’s basketball program is taking part in a national on-line auction effort to raise money for victims of Hurricane Katrina by offering ‘the Vanderbilt Basketball Experience,” a special event currently available for bid on eBay.com. The experience offers the highest-bidding Commodore fan four tickets to the Cincinnati game on Dec. 10, lunch for two with Head Coach Kevin Stallings and the Vanderbilt coaching staff, and an autographed jersey. It is one in a collection of events and items donated by college coaches across the country through AllCoachesCare.com. All proceeds go directly to Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit organization that builds homes for low income families. “We’re excited about the opportunity to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina,” Stallings said. “We hope Vanderbilt fans support this effort and participate in the bidding process.” Commodore fans wishing to participate in the auction can click on the link below or go to eBay.com and type in Vanderbilt Basketball Experience. A complete list of all items for bid is also available at AllCoachesCare.com. The 10-day window to place bids on the Vanderbilt basketball event will close on Oct. 7. |
