9/22/2005

Vanderbilt Men’s Basketball Head Coach Kevin Stallings and senior guard Mario Moore will take part in a halftime performance by the Commodores’ “Spirit of Gold” Marching Band this Saturday at the Vanderbilt-Richmond football game.

The band will be performing a medley of current Top 40 hits with Stallings serving as the master of ceremonies. In the finale, Moore will rap revised lyrics to Ludacris’ “Number One Spot” praising the Vanderbilt football team’s strong start.

During the performance, Moore will be wearing a No. 1 football jersey in honor of his friend and former roommate, Commodore football player Kwane Doster, who died tragically following a shooting in his hometown of Tampa, Fla., on Dec. 26, 2004.
