Vanderbilt Men’s Soccer Hosts the PUMA Classic 2005 This Weekend

Nashville, Tenn. – Vanderbilt men’s soccer will host the Puma Classic this Friday and Sunday at the VU Soccer Complex.

Western Kentucky and Wright State will open the tourney on Friday at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Commodores taking on No. 19 Vermont at 8 p.m.

WKU will then face Vermont on Sunday at noon, while VU takes on Wright State at 2 p.m.
 
Vanderbilt is 2-2 on the year after losing to No. 10 California and Stanford last weekend at the Cal Legacy Classic.

Vermont is 5-0 on the year and defeated 13th ranked San Francisco, 2-1, last Sunday. The Catamounts are ranked second in the New England Region.

Wright State is 1-3 overall and lost to No. 9 Akron, 2-0, in its last outing over the weekend.

Western Kentucky, a fellow member of the Missouri Valley Conference, is 1-2-1 on the season after falling to Cal Poly on Sept. 11.
