Vanderbilt Single-Game Tickets Go on Sale Monday; Selected End Zone Seats for SEC Games Starting at $15 8/14/2005 ? ? ? ?Nashville, Tenn. – Single-game tickets to Vanderbilt’s six football games on campus go on sale Monday featuring the lowest price for a Southeastern Conference encounter in years. ? ? ? ?For the first time in recent memory, Commodore athletic officials are introducing a reduced ticket price to every home game in two endzone sections of Vanderbilt Stadium. ? ? ? ?Tickets in sections K and L for SEC games against Ole Miss (Sept. 17), LSU (Oct. 8), Georgia (Oct. 15) and Kentucky (Nov. 12) are available for $15 each. Sideline tickets for SEC games will be $35. ?In 2004, the lowest ticket to a game featuing an SEC opponent was $35. ? ? ? ?The special rate for sections K and L also is available for non-conference games. ?Tickets for the Vanderbilt-Middle Tennessee game are $10 in Sections K-L and $20 for sideline seats. All tickets to the Vanderbilt-Richmond game are reduced to $10. ? ? ? ?Vanderbilt marketing director Eric Nichols said the special pricing plan is intended to introduce new fans to Bobby Johnson’s Commodore squad. ? ? ? ?”We’re trying several things to create new Commodore fans,” Nichols said. “Price is an issue to sidewalk fans. We’re hoping these fans will look at a $15 ticket to games against some of the nation’s best teams and bring their families to a game.” ? ? ? ?Tickets can be purchased at the Commodore Athletic Ticket Office in McGugin Center, by telephone at (615) 322-GOLD or online at www.CommodoreGameday.com. ? ? ? ?The discounted end zone tickets are in the same end-zone sections as the Commodores’ family zone season ticket area. ?Sections K and L have a capacity of about 3,000 fans.
