2005 Vanderbilt Football Media Guides Now Available to Commodore Fans 7/29/2005 The 2005 Vanderbilt Football Media Guide, with seniors Jay Cutler, Erik Davis and Moses Osewmegie on the cover, is now available for purchase. The cost to Commodore fans is $15. The guide is the largest, most comprehensive football guide ever produced by the Vanderbilt media relations department, featuring 204 pages dedicated to Commodore football and the university. The 2005 media guide is dedicated to former Commodore standout Kwane Doster, who died tragically on Dec. 26, 2004. Doster, the former 2002 Southeastern Conference Player of the Year as a tailback and kickoff return specialist, would have been a senior this year. The guide provides an array of valuable and timely information regarding the Commodore football program. Updated bios of Head Coach Bobby Johnson, his staff, university leaders, all returning players and the 2005 signing class are featured. The guide also features a detailed team outlook on the upcoming season, a review of the 2004 campaign, information on every on the 2005 Vanderbilt schedule, and a listing of key Vanderbilt administrators, head coaches and athletic support staff. An expanded, 16-page records section list a variety of individual and team records, ranging from career passing, rushing and receiving yardages to single-season interception and punt return statistics. More than 35 pages are dedicated to the history of Commodore football, which began in 1890. The historical section includes year-by-year results, Vanderbilt bowl appearances and All-Americans, current and former Commodores in the National Football League, postseason honors and individual academic recognition.
