Three Commodore Baseball Players Named to 2005 SEC Freshmen Academic Honor Roll 7/15/2005 Vanderbilt’s Alex Feinberg (3B/DH, Orinda, Calif.), Brad French (IF, Brentwood, Tenn.), and Shea Robin (C, The Woodlands, Texas) were named to the 2005 Southeastern Conference Freshmen Academic Honor Roll today by SEC Commissioner Mike Slive. A total of 469 freshmen student-athletes were named to the Honor Roll, including 40 student-athletes from Vanderbilt. Feinberg played in 46 games starting in 40 as either the designated hitter or third baseman. He owned a .335 batting average going 53-158 at the plate. He is currently playng in the Cape Cod League for the Hyannis Mets. French played in six games last season and was 2-4 at the plate with two runs. He is playing for LeHigh Valley this summber in the ACBL. Robin played in five games while starting as the designated hitter in one game. He was 1-4 with one run. He is playing for the Waterloo Bucks in the Northwoods League this summer. The 2005 SEC Freshmen Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2004-05 academic calendar.
