2005-06 Basketball Tickets Prices Remain Unchanged 6/27/2005 For the third consecutive year, Commodore men’s and women’s basketball season ticket prices will remain constant, Vanderbilt officials announced Monday. Ticket prices for the 2005-06 season, which start at only $75, remain among the most affordable in the Southeastern Conference despite continued success on the court by both squads and an increase in season ticket purchases each of the past two seasons. New this year for men’s games is a family season ticket package on the second level of Memorial Gymnasium. The family package includes two adult tickets and two youth (17 and under) tickets in sections 2G-2K for only $675. That’s less than $10 per person each game. Also new this season, purchasing season tickets in sections 2G-2K will no longer require fans to contribute to the National Commodore Club. “Offering special packages provide fans another option to see the Commodores at Memorial Gymnasium,” Director of Marketing Eric Nichols said. “We want to continue to rebuild our fan base and become Nashville’s No. 1 choice for family entertainment.” While the 2005-06 basketball schedules will be announced later this summer, home games with Oregon and Cincinnati at Memorial Gymnasium are scheduled for the men. Both Vanderbilt basketball programs continue to build momentum. The women’s team has advanced to the NCAA Tournament regional semifinals each of the past two seasons under Melanie Balcomb. The men’s team is coming off back-to-back 20 win seasons under Kevin Stallings, including an NCAA Tournament regional semifinal appearance in 2004. Fans can purchase season tickets by calling the Vanderbilt ticket office at 615-322-GOLD (option 2). -VU- |
