Vandy’s List Named Honorable Mention All-American 6/21/2005 NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt’s Luke List has been named honorable mention All-American by the Golf Coaches Association of America as well as a member of the Ping All-Southeast Region Team. List posted a three-round score of 218 at the NCAA East Regional to wrap up his sophomore season. He finished the season with a 72.00 stroke average. He earned First-team All-SEC honors for the second straight season for the Commodores. List, a native of Ringgold, Ga., continued his success from his freshman season during the 2004-05 season. He finished in the Top 10 in 10 tournaments. List tied for second and third in two tournaments, had two eighth place finishes and tied for 10th in another tournament. He tied for second at the Carpet Capital Collegiate. List tied for 10th place at the College All-American at the end of the fall season. List was also the youngest golfer to compete in the 2005 Masters where he finished tied for the 33rd place after making the 36-hole cut. He just wrapped up play in the U.S. Open and is scheduled to take part in six more tournaments this summer including the Porter Cup, U.S. Publinx, Walker Cup and U.S. Amateur. |
