VU Men Net Two Slots at Individual NCAA’s

5/5/2005 The No. 38 Vanderbilt men’s tennis team netted a pair of NCAA individual selections on Thursday, with senior Scott Brown selected for singles and freshman Jason Pinsky selected for doubles with Brown.
 
In singles, Brown posted a stellar 16-5 mark overall, while notching 15 of those wins as the ace of the Commodore lineup.
 
The St. Louis, Mo. product nabbed seven victories against top-100 opponents, with six of those victories coming during the SEC slate.
 
Brown was recently named First Team All-SEC by the conference office and also became the winningest player in the history of Vanderbilt men’s tennis with his doubles win with Pinsky against Kentucky.
 
Joining Brown in Athens, Ga. will be Pinsky.  The Potomac, Md. native partnered with Brown for the length of the 2005 spring campaign. 
 
Together, the two went 16-6, 7-3 SEC.
 
Brown and Pinsky are currently ranked No. 12 by the ITA and have dropped teams ranked No. 2, 6, 10, 12, 15 and 17.
