VU Men to Face Kentucky in Round One 4/16/2005 Men’s SEC Tournament Draw The No. 36 Vanderbilt men’s tennis team will have an opportunity to avenge its Saturday loss to No. 12 Kentucky as it faces the Cats in the first round of the SEC Tournament. The Dores are slated to face the Wildcats on Thursday, April 21 at 6:00 p.m. at the University of Georgia in Athens. The Commodores were awarded the 10th seed, while the Wildcats are the 7th seed. Kentucky has taken the last two matchups between the squads, including a 5-2 decision on Saturday afternoon. “This rematch will be a good opportunity for us,” said Vanderbilt Interim Head Coach Eddie Coates. “Everyone knows what we have to do. We will be prepared.” |
