List, Vandy Men in 11th at SEC Tournament 4/15/2005 St. Simons Island, Ga. – Sophomore Luke List is tied for 11th place but Vanderbilt finds itself 12 strokes out of second place and in 11th place after day one of the Southeastern Conference Men’s Golf Tournament. List shot three-over par 73 to lead the Commodores while teammate Dos Goldsmith shot five-over par 75. Vanderbilt is in 11th place at 26-over par as a team, but VU is just 12 strokes behind second place Florida and eight strokes out of the top five. Kentucky holds a four stroke lead at 10-over par 290. Georgia’s Richard Scott shot two-under par 68 to hold a one shot lead over Kentucky’s John Holmes and a two shot lead over Kentucky’s Matt Wells. Goldsmith is tied for 21st place. Senior Mark Donnell shot a 76 while freshman Brett Lange added an 82 and Will Armstrong shot 84. Play continues Saturday and Sunday. The championship is being played at the Sea Island Golf Club. Admission is free.
