Vanderbilt Tied for 11th at Bryan 4/1/2005 BROWNS SUMMIT, NC–Helen-Rose Richards and Chris Brady carded three-over par 75’s to pace Vanderbilt during the first round of the Bryan National Collegiate Friday. The Commodores were tied with Oklahoma State for 11th position at 18-over par, well off the four-under par pace established by Georgia and Duke. Individually, Duke All-American Elizabeth Janangelo shot five-under 67 to lead a strong field by two shots. The 75 was Richards’ finest collegiate tournament round of her freshman season and put her in a logjam with Brady and others in 32nd place heading into Saturday’s second round. Kristen Svicarovich added a 76 for Vanderbilt while Liebelei Lawrence came in at 80 and Julie Bartholomew added an 81. Complete results are located on Golfstat.com. |
