SRO Area Moves

Construction to enlarge Vanderbilt’s Hawkins Field by approximately 400 seats begins March 28.  The enlarged seating areas will be located in the current patio areas down the right and left field lines, which through the Alabama series has often been used for Standing Room Only admission.

Because of the construction, this area will no longer be available for SRO use.  SRO ticket holders will be allowed to look for open seats in the stands, often the result of a no-show by the season ticket holder.  However, should the actual ticket arrive, the season ticket holder will have the right to the seat.

The Memorial Gym Plaza, which overlooks left-center field, will now become a ticketed area. Vanderbilt students, with a valid ID, and persons with SRO tickets will occupy this area. There will be concessions available. No alcohol will be permitted in the area.

Vanderbilt’s attendance has jumped and season ticket sales doubled on the heels of last year’s record setting season, which culminated in a trip to the NCAA Super Regionals.  The Commodores have been rated in the Top 25 all of 2005.
