In its final weekend home game of the regular season, Vanderbilt welcomes visiting Georgia to Memorial Gymnasium Saturday with the Commodores needing a victory to pull their Southeastern Conference league mark even at 7-7. The game starts at 3 p.m. There is no television broadcast.

Vanderbilt (16-11, 6-7 SEC) is coming off a hard-fought 69-61 setback at Florida on Wednesday. The Commodores trailed throughout most of the game, grabbed a pair of brief one-point leads inside the final 10 minutes of the game, but could never
grab control before dropping the eight-point decision. Corey Smith led Vanderbilt with 15 points and seven rebounds. Mario Moore (12) and Shan Foster (11) also reached double figures in scoring.

The Commodores can tie the school record for home wins in a season at 15 with a victory on Saturday. The mark was set by last year’s Vanderbilt squad which went 15-2 at Memorial Gymnasium. Vanderbilt leads all SEC members with a 29-4 home mark since the start of the 2003-04 campaign.

Georgia (8-16, 2-11 SEC) comes to Nashville Saturday after dropping a 76-62 home contest against Mississippi State on Wednesday. The Bulldogs defeated Vanderbilt, 68-59, on Jan. 22 for their first league win. Georgia’s second SEC win came on Feb. 19 at home against Auburn, 57-45. Levi Stukes leads the Bulldogs with 15.2 points per game.

Vanderbilt leads the all-time series 75-44. The home team has won the last eight games in the series.

The Commodores play their regular season home finale Wednesday against South Carolina.
