Vanderbilt Baseball Ranked No. 17 in Baseball America Pre-Season Poll

The Vanderbilt Commodores are ranked No. 17 in the Baseball America preseason Top 25 Poll released today in Durham, NC.

Tulane tops the list for the first time ever, followed by LSU, defending national champion Cal State Fullerton, Texas and Miami.

The Commodores will play at least 18 games against six teams ranked in the Top 25, including #2 LSU, #7 South Carolina, #10 Georgia, #11 Baylor, #15 Florida, and #16 Mississippi.

It is the first time in school history that Vanderbilt has been ranked in the Baseball America Preseason Poll. The Commodores have been listed in two other preseason polls – #18 by SEBaseball.com and #38 by Collegiate Baseball.

The Baseball America staff determines the Top 25 rankings.
