Bradley Defeats Vanderbilt, 4-1, in Missouri Valley Conference Action Nashville, Tenn. — The Bradley Braves scored four unanswered goals to come from behind and defeat Vanderbilt, 4-1, today at the Vanderbilt Soccer Stadium in Missouri Valley Conference action. Bradley is now unbeaten in five games with four victories and owns a 9-5-2 overall mark and a 5-1-1 record in league play. Vanderbilt owns a 6-9-1 mark, 2-6 in MVC play. The Commodores took a 1-0 lead in the game when junior John Kraue scored his team-leading 12th goal of the season at the 33:30 mark. On a free kick, Krause kicked into a pack of players and then took the deflection and scored from 16-yards out. Bradley’s Jeff Kellogg tied the game when he scored his first goal of the season when his shot from 8-yards out caught the left corner of the goal. The game was tied 1-1 at halftime. The Braves scored two goals within two minutes when Steve Chromik’s header landed in the goal from six-yards out on a cross from Cody Kother at 60:22.. Nick Bowden then hit a bullet on a sharp angle from 18-yards out to give Bradley a 3-1 lead at the 62:06 mark. Preston Good then tipped in a shot in front of the goal on a pass from Chris Brown and a cross from Luke Kreamalmeyer to extend the Brave’s lead to three, 4-1. With just over four minutes remaining, BU’s Chris Dunsheath made a jumping save on a 21-yard floater by VU’s Casey Steen. Dunsheath picked up his ninth win of the season allowing just one goal and numbering four saves. VU’s Kenny Schoeni is now 6-6-1 and totaled one save allowing the four goals. Bradley outshot the Commodores 13-7 led by Chromik with three. Krause led the Commodores with two shots.
