Women’s soccer plays #14 Florida to a 1-1 double overtime tie

Today in Nashville, the Commodores faced off against #14 Florida and ended the game in the Dores’ fourth tie of the season.

The Commodores only goal came from freshman Sarah Dennis after she hit a ten yard shot from the center. The goal took place just 15 minutes into the game. The Gators did not score until 20 mins into the second half when Florida’s Stephanie Freeman scored off a corner kick.

Both teams played each other very tight. Vanderbilt registered 11 shots while Florida had 19. Commodore goalkeeper Tyler Griffin matched the SEC season high mark with 13 saves.
