Vanderbilt offensive lineman Mac Pyle has decided to leave the football team indefinitely for personal reasons, Commodore Head Coach Bobby Johnson said Tuesday.

Other than announcing Pyle’s departure, Johnson declined to elaborate on reasons for the player’s decision.

Pyle, a 6-4, 312-pound junior from Adairsville, Ga., has started 21 games at right guard for the Commodores, including the first three games this season.
