Women’s soccer moves up to fourth place in the SEC 9/27/2004 The Commodore women’s soccer team was ranked fourth in the SEC-Eastern Division according to SEC pools. Effective September 27, 2004, Vanderbilt falls in place following <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags” />Tennessee (1), Kentucky (2) and Florida (3). Vanderbilt is also ranked third in the conference for saves with a total of 46 and an average of 5.75 per game. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office” />
Women’s soccer returned home from their first weekend of SEC play losing to Arkansas on Friday (2-1) and defeating LSU on Sunday (2-1, 2OT). The Commodores currently hold a record of 2-5-1, defeating LSU and Drury University.
The next SEC challenge is on Friday, October 1st when the Commodores face Auburn at home at 5:00 p.m. CST. |
