Women’s soccer prepared to take on LSU 9/26/2004 The Commodore women’s soccer team will take on the LSU Tigers Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Tiger Soccer Complex in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Commodores are 5-1-1 all time against the Tigers but currently hold a record of 1-5-1 on the season and 0-1 in SEC play. LSU is currently 5-4-0 on the season with an equal 0-1 record in the SEC. The last time the two teams met was Oct. 5, 2003 when Vanderbilt beat LSU 1-0 in a very close game in Nashville, Tenn. The Tigers are coming off their first SEC loss this season against Kentucky (2-0). Susan McAleavey was the Commodores only goal scorer on Friday night versus Arkansas where they fell 1-2. The winning goal by the Lady Backs was scored very late in the game. |
