First Day of Fall Practice 9-15-04 Nashville, Tenn. – Vanderbilt Head Baseball Coach Tim Corbin and the Commodores began their Fall Baseball practice Tuesday (Sept. 14) at Hawkins Field. A total of 35 players were on the practice field, including 11 newcomers. 2005 Schedule Announced “There are a lot of new faces in the infield,” Corbin said. “You just try and get everyone in the flow of practice on the first day. It really helps when you have guys like Tony (Mansolino), Warner (Jones), Mike (Baxter) and other veteran players to help out the young guys along the way.” Fall baseball concludes with the Black & Gold games scheduled for Oct. 8 (6 pm), 9 (11 am) and 10 (1 pm) at Hawkins Field.
